What does travelling coverage include?
Exactly what a New Jersey wedding gets, plus the logistics. Every collection includes a full timeline call before the wedding, a family shot list built together, sneak peeks within 48–72 hours, a private online gallery with every image for both families, a print release, dual card recording with redundant offsite backups, and a direct line to Surya before, during and after. For a wedding weekend in another state, continental travel is included; for a single day or a wedding day elsewhere, travel is written into the proposal as a line you can see, never added afterwards. How does a multi-day wedding in another state work?
- One team for the whole weekend. Two to five photographers depending on scale, plus cinematographers, travelling together and staying for every event — mehndi, haldi, sangeet, ceremony and reception — so both families are known by the final day.
- A day either side. Travel days are planned into the proposal, so the team is in place before the first call time and nobody is landing on the morning of the haldi.
- The venue, before the day. We confirm the ballroom's and the temple's rules on flash, positions and dress in advance, and plan the portraits for the light the city gives — the Potomac at golden hour is not the Hudson.
- Photography and film together. Cinematography has been in-house since 2016, so one shot list covers both and the same-day edit can be screened at the reception that night.

Do you film weddings across the USA as well?
Yes — the cinematographers travel with the photographers, because they are one team. Every wedding is captured in 4K on multiple cameras, with lapel microphones on the couple and the officiant and a feed from the DJ's board, so the vows and every speech are recorded in full. Couples receive a four-to-six-minute highlight film in ten to twelve weeks, a twenty-to-thirty-minute feature film about three weeks later, vertical social cuts, and on a wedding weekend a same-day edit screened at the reception that night. Which traditions do you photograph across the country?
Hindu ceremonies of every tradition — Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali and Sindhi — the Sikh Anand Karaj, South Indian muhurthams at dawn, and fusion weddings with a Catholic, Jewish, Sikh or nikah ceremony alongside a Hindu one. What does a travelling Indian wedding photographer cost?
The same as anywhere else with us: single-celebration collections begin in the mid four figures, and most couples who celebrate across a full wedding weekend make a five-figure investment. The number moves with the days and events, the size of the team, film, guest scale, albums and travel, and every couple receives a written proposal itemised to the dollar — often with two or three options side by side — before deciding anything. There is no public price list, and nothing is added later.

Do you travel for Indian weddings outside New Jersey?
Yes, regularly. New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the DMV are a normal season for us, and we photograph in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Miami and California, plus destination weddings in India, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. For most of the season the team is on the road somewhere between Boston and Miami.
Is travel included in the price?
Within 90 miles of New Jersey, always — which covers New York City and Philadelphia. Travel within the continental United States is included in the Wedding Weekend collection. For other collections and for international weddings, flights, accommodation and a day either side are written openly into the proposal, never added as a surprise.
Does Surya photograph every wedding himself, even out of state?
Yes. Surya is the lead photographer on every wedding the studio books, without exception, and brings one to four regular team members depending on the collection — the same people each time, not a rotating roster of freelancers — introduced to you by name before the day.
How does booking a wedding in another state work?
The same way as a local one. Enquire online with your date, venue and events; Surya replies personally within 24 hours; a relaxed twenty-minute call follows; then a written proposal with coverage, team, films, deliverables, travel and the exact investment. The reservation holds your date exclusively and is fully refundable for seven days.
How far ahead do out-of-state couples book?
Most couples book twelve to eighteen months out, and peak-season Saturdays go first, often more than a year ahead. Because travel weekends take the whole team away, we hold fewer of them, and the studio is already booking wedding weekends into 2027 and 2028. Send your date and Surya will confirm within 24 hours.
Do you photograph destination weddings abroad?
Yes — in India, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. International celebrations are quoted per event, with flights, accommodation and a day either side written into the proposal. The same team, the same shot list and the same photography-and-film pairing travel with you.
